Jotun665 Winning Online Poker Gold Card Race

Last week's Cake Poker Gold Card Race winner was jotun665. Shocking, we know.

This has officially become ridiculous. Jotun665 won the Cake Poker Gold Card Race again. Let’s tally it all up once more, shall we? Here’s a breakdown of where jotun665 has finished since the Gold Card Race began at the start of July:

Week 1: Eighth Place for $350

Week 2: First Place for $1,000

Week 3: Third Place for $700

Week 4: First Place for $1,000

Week 5: First Place for $1,000

Week 6: First Place for $1,000

Week 7: First Place for $1,000

Week 8: First Place for $1,000

That's $7,050 in two months and yes, he’s in the lead for this week with 970 miles already.

Fortunately for the rest of you, Cake Poker designs its rewards programs to be shared by a large number of players as opposed to just one big winner (Jotun665, we’re looking at you). The Gold Card Race awards 50 of online poker ring game players every week out of a monthly prize pool of $50,000. The best part is that you don’t have to spend your Gold Cards to compete in it. Just collecting them earns you the “miles” necessary to earn the extra cash.

Learn more about how to earn Gold Cards (and consequently "miles") on Cake Poker and get yourself a shot at some bonus cash.

Jotun665 Still Dominating Cake Poker Gold Card Race

by Jake St. Pierre 12. August 2009 10:32

Cake Online Poker Gold Card Race

Cake Poker's Gold Card Race was won by jotun665 again last week. Will this week be different?

No, this isn’t a repeat from the week before, or the week before that, or the week before that, etc. Jotun665 won the Cake Poker Gold Card Race again last week so yes, that’s another $1,000 for him. Didn’t he learn to share?

Well, so far this week it’s shaping up like jotun665 might have some competition. He’s currently in second place with 1,024 miles on the heels of royalgeek with 1,226 while Sick Wit It! has a respectable lead with 1,623.

So far jotun665 has won every single week since the promotion has started with the exceptions of Week 1 and Week 3 when he got 8th and 3rd respectively.

Find out more about the Cake Poker Gold Card Race. You don’t have to beat jotun665 just to make some bonus cash since the top 50 spots payout every week.

Jotun665 Takes Down Cake Poker Gold Card Race Again

Jotun665 Wins Cake Poker Online Poker Gold Card Race

Can anyone beat jotun665 in the Cake Poker Gold Card Race?

This is getting ridiculous. It’s looking like jotun665 has made a profession out of winning the Cake Poker Gold Card Race as once again he has torn up the track to take down the $1,000 first place prize.

Last week was the fifth completed race since the Gold Card Race promotion began and not only has jotun665 cashed in all of them, he’s finished first in three of them!

Jotun665’s total earnings breakdown like this:

Week 1: Eighth Place for $350

Week 2: First Place for $1,000

Week 3: Third Place for $700

Week 4: First Place for $1,000

Week 5: First Place for $1,000

That’s an average of $810/week.

Just to put it into perspective, if jotun665 had say… decided to work for minimum wage at McDonald’s in California ($8/hour) instead of playing poker, he would’ve made $320/week.

Jotun665 earned his "miles" by collecting Gold Cards while playing cash games. He still gets to redeem all those Gold Cards for entries into tournaments or for additional cash.

One of the great things about the Gold Card Race is that it pays out 50 people every week. You don't have to beat jotun to share in the $50,000 awarded monthly.

Although this week’s race has just begun, jotun665 is already in sixth place with 556 miles. EffMyLIFE is leading the pack with 736. Will somebody outrun jotun665 this week? You can keep track of who is in what place by logging onto the Cake's online poker software and clicking on the Gold Card Race button in the top right corner.

It’s clear that the person to beat in the Gold Card Race is Jotun665. He took down first place last week (and the $1,000 that went with it), he came in third the week before (for $700), won it the week before that and was eighth ($350) the week before that. That makes for $3,050 in Gold Card Race cash for him since the promotion began just over a month ago!

Now, with the current week just having started, jotun665 is already in the lead. Sick, we know.

Other top ranking regulars in the Gold Card Race include Pokrlady and Seconder.

The Gold Card Race is a ring game competition that awards $50,000 each month to the online poker players who track the most “miles”. Miles are earned based on the Gold Card Miles Grid and the Gold Card Handicaps chart.

Each week a total of 50 players cash in the Gold Card Race. You can check the current Gold Card Race standings online or simply load up your Cake Poker software and click the Gold Card 500 button in the upper right corner.

This week’s Gold Card Race just began last night, so there’s still lots of time to earn your miles.

Jotun665 Tearing Up the Cake Poker Gold Card Race

Jotun Playing Poker

We had no idea what a jotun was so we looked it up. Apparently it's a Norse giant. Who knew Norse giants loved poker so much? (Image Courtesy Wikipedia)

In an outstanding display of Gold Card racing prowess, jotun665 won an Ace of Clubs Gold Card last night, earning himself a whopping 110 miles plus the modifier for his stake level which multiplied his miles by four, giving him 440 miles in a single hand of poker!

Jotun665 is a regular top contender in the Gold Card Race. He finished third last week, won it the week before and is currently in the lead for this week after his explosive start with the Ace of Clubs.

Last week's winner was pokrlady34 with 5,233 miles while dlepz was second with 4,896. They earned $1,000 and $850 respectively.

The Gold Card Race is a great way to earn extra cash and you don’t even need to spend your Gold Cards to do it. Miles are earned on a weekly basis each time you receive a Gold Card. Each card is worth a certain number of miles.

Every Monday at midnight, the 50 players with the most miles are paid out with first place receiving the top prize of $1,000.

And remember, any Gold Cards that you receive not only earn you miles but are automatically added to your collection to be traded in later in a Gold Card Daily Lotto for anything from Gold Card exclusive freerolls to straight up cash.

Take today’s Gold Card lotto for example. You can redeem any six 3 of diamonds Gold Cards to earn entry to an exclusive $4,000 Guaranteed Gold Card Tournament running today 3:30pm PST. You’ll only have to compete with other players who spend their six 3of diamonds Gold Cards to get in, so it’s sure to be a high value freeroll tournament.

There’s a new Gold Card Lotto draw each day so be sure to log in to Cake Poker software to find out if you’re holding the right cards and what you can get for them.

Learn more about collecting and using Gold Cards and then start winning them yourself in Cake Poker's legendary online poker ring games.

Still have questions? Get all the details of how to get Gold Cards, and how the Gold Card Race works. It’s important to know what you’re doing so that if you’re close to making it into the money, you put that extra effort in to make the score. Last week AHIGA beat out TryToTakeiT by just one mile! The difference earned AHIGA $155 for 50th place while TryToTakeiT got left in the dust in 51st.

This week’s Gold Card Race just began at midnight last night, so there’s still plenty of time to earn your miles.
