Cake Poker Reward Phase of Gold Spree

by Jake St. Pierre 17. February 2010 12:55

Gold Spree has entered the reward phase. Enjoy!

February is a Gold Spree month at Cake Poker, which means that the first half of the month gave players the opportunity to establish a boost in their rewards for their play in the second half of the month. Additionally, Cake Poker players were also given the chance to win a seat in a $25,000 Kamikaze tournament.

At the start of the month every player was given a Frequent Player Point goal to achieve by February 15. Those who made it got a seat in the $25K Kamikaze. Those who exceeded it will be earning up to 300% more rewards through the last half of the month.

The Kamikaze just finished running and it paid out the top 200 players with the top five finishers winning more than $1,000 each and first place walking away with $5,000. Anyone who made their FPP Gold Spree goal could be a winner since Kamikazes run automatically and players don’t even need to be logged in to participate.

To see if you made your FPP goal, log into Cake’s poker client and check under the “My Account” tab. For those players who surpassed their FPP goal, they will be enjoying a boost the Gold Chips they are awarded between February 15 and February 28.

Cake Poker players will all have received an email detailing their exact bonuses so be sure to check your email to find out what you’re earning.

Cake Poker Gold Stacks
Gold Stacks launched this morning and are already dumping instant prizes into poker player's accounts. (Cake Poker Image)

Cake Poker launched their latest loyalty rewards program, Gold Stacks, early this morning and there are already a couple Cake players who are really grinding the levels quickly. With the Gold Stacks levels capping out at 50, it’s amazing to see these players already at level 7!

The two online poker player’s in question are twosons and AMANDA KNOX. As of the writing of this they are playing each other in $2,050 heads-up SNGs and accumulating Gold Chips and Gold Stacks like crazy. In fact, by the time I’m done writing this it’s safe to assume that they will be at level 8 or higher.

If you’re ready to join the fun and start building Gold Stacks, just download the free poker software and start playing. If you want to find out more about why your account keeps getting topped up for accumulating Gold Chips and building Gold Stacks read about the Gold Stacks rewards program.

Cake Poker Introduces Gold Stacks

by Jake St. Pierre 7. December 2009 12:50

Gold Stacks are the latest reward program from Cake Poker. (Cake Poker Image)

Everybody who plays at Cake Poker knows about Gold Chips. As you earn Frequent Player Points, you receive Gold Chips which can in turn be used to buy into tournaments or trade in for electronics, gear, football tickets, etc. in the Cake Shop.

Well, the introduction of Gold Stacks doesn’t change that, it just adds to the value of all those chips. As you accumulate enough Gold Chips you will complete stacks. Completing Gold Stacks provides you with instant rewards that get better with the more stacks you complete.

While you can take as long as you want to complete a stack, you will be rewarded with a Turbo Bonus, or even a Super Turbo Bonus, if you complete them quickly.

As you build Gold Stacks you’ll gain levels. The higher level player you are, the more you will receive for stacks that you complete. The best part about the levels is that Cake Poker actually wants you to keep them. Unlike pretty much all other loyalty programs they aren’t designed to punish you for taking a break from playing. Once you earn a level it’s yours to keep, assuming you come back to play and earn a meager minimum of 2 Gold Chips over the course of two consecutive months.

While you don’t need to do anything different to benefit from the Gold Stacks Program, you might want to learn more about Gold Stacks Rewards so you understand why your account keeps getting topped up.

Cake Poker Gold Cards Dropping at Triple Speed

by Jake St. Pierre 8. September 2009 13:00

Cake Online Poker Rewards

Cake Poker is known for its rewards for a reason.

That’s right, Cake Poker Gold Cards are being handed out at triple the usual speed right now so if you’ve ever felt like grinding the cash games, now is the time to do it.

While we’re dishing out the gold like there’s no tomorrow, we thought it might also be a good time to explain in some detail all the ways that Gold Cards can make you money.

The Gold Card Daily Lottery

Cake Poker’s Gold Card Lottery is a daily announcement that awards cash and prizes to anyone who wants to trade the featured cards in for that day’s prize.

For example, the Gold Card Lottery cards of the day might be a 10 of Clubs and a King of Clubs. If you have those cards then you can click the “Redeem” button to trade your cards in for that day’s prize.

Gold Cards also are associated with the year that they were won so occasionally there will be lotteries that award to specific years only. Like today’s for example. Today’s Gold Card Lottery is a Jack of each suit all from 2007. If you have those cards you can cash them in for $700 today.

This makes older cards more valuable since they are rarer. You can expect bigger cash prizes for them and freerolls with much smaller fields. So hang onto those Gold Cards as they work like an appreciating investment.

The Gold Card Race

One of the cool things about the Gold Card Race is that you don’t even need to spend your Gold Cards to win cash. Just by collecting them you earn “miles” in the weekly race. At the end of the week Gold Card Miles are tallied and the 50 Cakers with the most miles win cash money. Get all the details on the Gold Card Race and start tearing up the track.

The Gold Card Jackpot

Each year Cake Poker awards the first person to complete a complete 52 Gold Card deck with $52,000 cash.

The 2009 jackpot is still up for grabs. Find out more and see who the frontrunners to win it are on Gold Card Jackpot homepage.

Earning Gold Cards

Gold Cards are awarded to in real money cash games only. Everytime a table hits a predetermined rake amount a Gold Card is randomly presented at the table. Any player who has a hole card that matches the Gold Card wins that card.

Get the complete low down on how to earn Gold Cards and start taking advantage of the triple speed Gold Card drop while it lasts.

If you don’t have it yet, you can get Cake’s free poker software and start playing today.

Last Week’s Cake Poker Gold Card Race Winners

by Jake St. Pierre 14. July 2009 16:33

Cake Poker Online Poker Gold Card Race

The Gold Card Race awards ring game online poker players with bonus cash. (Cake Blog Image)

Familiar with Cake Poker’s Gold Card Race? It’s a Ring Game competition that awards $50,000 each month to the online poker players who track the most “miles”. Last week saw Jotun665 outrun the competition with 4,187 miles giving him the first place prize of $1,000. In second place was Maharishi with 3,630 miles and right behind was KlitIstwund with 3,431 for $850 and $700 respectively.

Each week a total of 50 players cash in the Gold Card Race. You can follow this link to check the current Gold Card Race standings or simply load up your Cake Poker software and click the Gold Card 500 button in the upper right corner.

Still have questions? Get all the details of how to get Gold Cards, and how the Gold Card Race works. It’s important to know what you’re doing so that if you’re close to making it into the money, you put that extra effort in to make the score. Last week AHIGA beat out TryToTakeiT by just one mile! The difference earned AHIGA $155 for 50th place while TryToTakeiT got left in the dust in 51st.

This week’s Gold Card Race just began at midnight last night, so there’s still plenty of time to earn your miles.
